The general purpose of this WebQuest is to provide students with an opportunity to explore the differences between various types of wild and domestic cats. Students will be introduced to a story and as they venture through each step of the WebQuest they will be exposed to images of both wild and domestic cats. This WebQuest will also require students to use basic computer skills as they will have to make their way through the tasks by clicking on arrows and links. While the use of external websites was considered for this WebQuest, it was decided that for kindergarten students it would be best to keep the links internal. So, students can complete this activity independently without the worry of them venturing to unfamiliar or inappropriate websites.
The remainder of the Teacher Page will clarify the intended audience for this online tool, the standards that are addressed, the process that teacher’s should take in implementing this WebQuest, and the resources that are needed in addition to the WebQuest’s URL.
NOTE: You can access the WebQuest at any time by clicking on "Student Page" in the left-hand navigation.
